Vice President of Commercial Banking

As Vice President of Commercial Banking based in Bank of Georgetown's headquarters office, Jon Higgins provides organizations with smart loan solutions that assist them in achieving their financial and business development goals.

Mr. Higgins was promoted to vice president of commercial banking in July 2008. He works daily with business and community leaders throughout the District to help small to mid-sized companies, associations and nonprofit organizations obtain the right type of commercial loan products that will best help them grow and succeed.

Previously, Mr. Higgins held the position of vice president and branch manager of Bank of Georgetown’s first branch in Georgetown, helping open its doors to the greater DC business community in May 2005. As branch manager, he managed total branch operations, supervised staff and supported community outreach and business development.

Before joining Bank of Georgetown’s management team, Mr. Higgins was a financial center manager for the Georgetown branch of BB&T. In that role, he was responsible for developing deposit and consumer loan relationships and focused primarily on consumer loan production by leveraging relationships with referral partners.

Mr. Higgins is an active member of the Georgetown Business Association, D.C. Coalition for Capital and The National Foundation for Teaching Enterprise (NFTE).

He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va.
