Managing Director of Business Development

As Managing Director of Business Development at Bank of Georgetown's headquarters office, Jeff Banks helps businesses and nonprofits develop financial solutions that help build and grow their organizations.

Mr. Banks has held this position with Bank of Georgetown since early 2007, bringing more than 30 years of banking experience to his diverse portfolio of clients in commercial real estate, retail, technology, churches and charitable organizations.

Over the last 20 years, Mr. Banks has dedicated his career to supporting the diverse communities within the Washington Metropolitan area. He works to build connections with local businesses and organizations, to identify the financial needs of customers, and provide personalized, smart solutions.

A volunteer with Goodwill Industries, Mr. Banks teaches financial literacy classes to the participants of the Pre-Apprenticeship Readiness Training (P.A.R.T.) Program. He is also an active supporter of Bank on DC and Operation Hope. Both organizations support financial literacy programs throughout the National Capital Region. Mr. Banks is a member of the board of directors for The DC Children’s Trust Fund, The Woolly Mammoth Theatre, Mid City Business Association, The Metropolitan Washington Banker’s Association and Think Local First DC.

Mr. Banks earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in business management from the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio.
