Bank of Georgetown Continues Strong Growth, Expands Business Development Team
New Business Development Officers Will Focus on D.C. and VA
WASHINGTON, D.C., December 3, 2013 —Bank of Georgetown, a leading community bank chartered in Washington, D.C., is pleased to announce the expansion of its business development team with the hiring of Kevin Corey, Vice President, Business Development Officer; and Billy Cullipher, Vice President, Business Development Officer.
Kevin Corey will focus on business development in Northern Virginia, utilizing 30 years of industry experience in the Washington metro area to help local businesses and organizations identify and address their banking needs. Corey previously served as a vice president and business banker at BB&T, where he was responsible for business development in Northern Virginia.

Corey currently serves on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Council on Small Business and is active with the Arlington Economic Development Small Business Council. He resides in North Springfield and is active with youth sport programs in the North Springfield/Annandale area.
Billy Cullipher, an 18-year veteran of the banking industry, will focus on extending existing commercial relationships and portfolios as well as developing new clients primarily in the Georgetown area, specifically those centered on architecture, law and property management. Cullipher spent the last 14 years at BB&T, most recently as assistant vice president and market leader, responsible for developing business opportunities and managing multiple branches in Georgetown and Friendship Heights.
“Billy’s knowledge of the Georgetown business scene and success in developing and managing long-term, profitable relationships with commercial and consumer clients is invaluable,” said Fitzgerald. “We are extremely pleased to welcome him to our team.”
